We are super excited to announce this new session offering! As homeschool parents ourselves, this one is extra special to us. Many parents have chosen the route of homeschooling for a variety of reasons. For us, we started when we lived in Michigan because the school district there was, well, completely terrible. 40+ students to a class and the teacher felt that teaching was optional if the class was too out of control that day….that didn’t work for us. So, we made the decision to homeschool our oldest daughter. Our youngest daughter wasn’t old enough for school just yet, but when she was, we began homeschooling her too. Now that we’re in Kentucky, we’ve continued to homeschool – in part because I had already bought all the curriculum for the year and because we weren’t exactly sure how schools were here.
As a homeschooling parent, unless we take photos of our children, they don’t get the yearly school photos (that’s a plus in many ways!)…so we take at least one “traditional” photo of them each year, but most of the photos we take of our children fit with our usual lifestyle photography. We noticed there are quite a few families that homeschool in our area and found more Kentucky homeschoolers on our social media outlets. So, we got to thinking….why not come up with a special session JUST for homeschooling families? They don’t do the traditional school, so why have traditional pictures? This is a perfect chance for other homeschooling families to be able to document their every day homeschooling lives as well as be able to get some great photos of the kids while we’re doing that.
Because of how special this type of session is, we are limiting our openings to 4 sessions per month. This is because there is more time involved in this session and we want to make sure we are properly devoting time to your session and capturing your family in its homeschool environment.
Your Homeschool Diaries session will include:
- a 2 hour lifestyle session at your homeschool (anywhere within 100 miles of Bardstown, Kentucky, no additional travel fee. Beyond 100 miles, travel fee to be assessed based on distance).
- 8×8 layflat photo book so you can show off your awesome homeschool to everyone who comes to see you….or you can carry it with you and brag on your kids to everyone you meet 🙂
- a CD of the photos (watermarked) from your session so you can share them all over social media for all your friends to see what you enjoy doing every day for (un)school
- 20% discount on your ala carte print order if your order is $100 or more
